Sjogren’s Torsion Twist Tester is available in three distinct models, each designed to cater to a broad spectrum of testing needs. It offers 12 customizable twisting programs, complete with cycle memory, ensuring comprehensive testing. Ideal for assessing brittleness, inclusions, hidden seams, and other defects, this tester is essential for evaluating high carbon steel wire or copper/aluminum rods.

The Torsion Twist Tester meticulously rotates a wire sample around its center to evaluate brittleness, inclusions, hidden seams, and other imperfections. Available in three models accommodating wire diameters from .010″ to .750″ (0.2mm to 19mm), it empowers your quality testing team to achieve faster, more efficient, and assured results.

1 Programmable

Programmable counter with automatic forward/reverse capability. The Sjogren TTT includes a digital, touch screen display for efficiency and quality.

2 Holding Chucks

The TTT from Sjogren features advanced holding chucks with replaceable jaws, delivering reliable and precise clamping force for a secure and uniform grip on test pieces.

3 Semi-Automatic

Safe, semi-automatic operation provides consistent output test results: meets ASTM Test Specifications E558 and A930

4 Angle Bender (optional)

Not Shown on Interactive model, a manual bender is available on the left of the machine to add a 90° bend to each side of the test rod/wire to ensure firm grip in chucks, especially for very hard steel.

5 Linear Weight

Depending on test specifications, in order to avoid small diameter wires coiling upon themselves, a linear weight can be introduced to prevent this.

The weight is dependent on the strength of the material and the test specifications.

6 Models for Any Strength

Light, medium, and heavy-duty models available ranging form 1/3hp to 1.5hp for testing tensile strengths up to 450,000 PSI and speeds of up to 120 RPM with test sample lengths from as small as 2" (0,50 mm) to 24" (610 mm).
