Wire Guides

Sjogren Industries manufactures wire guides and guide roller systems that help control material alignment, reduce surface damage, and support consistent movement through wire drawing, straightening, cabling, and industrial processing equipment. The product line includes RB Series Inlet Guide Roller Boxes for controlled machine entry, AR Adjustable Wire Guide Rollers for round, flat, and shaped materials, and SDR Static Dancer Rolls for low-maintenance, bearing-free wire guidance. Available for a wide range of wire diameters, materials, mounting configurations, and production environments, Sjogren wire guides help manufacturers reduce friction, limit scratching, improve centerline control, and minimize downtime. Standard and custom options can support new equipment, replacement applications, and existing wire processing lines.

RB | Inlet Guide Roller Boxes

Low-Friction Entry Guides for Mark-Free Wire and Cable Feeding

Sjogren RB Series Inlet Guide Roller Boxes guide wire and cable into drawing machines, cabling equipment, and other machine-entry points while reducing friction, scratching, and surface marking. Each roller box uses horizontal and vertical pairs of hardened steel rollers to keep material centered and moving smoothly, while shaft collars control bearing end-play without requiring shims. Four standard sizes handle wire diameters up to 1.181 inches, or 30 millimeters, and flange mounting simplifies installation into new or existing production lines. These wire guide roller boxes can also replace comparable inlet guides from other manufacturers, making them a dependable choice for wire drawing, cable production, medical wire, automotive components, energy products, and general industrial manufacturing.

AR | Adjustable Wire Guide Rollers

Modular Guide Rollers for Round, Flat, and Shaped Wire

Sjogren AR Adjustable Wire Guide Rollers provide controlled, low-friction guidance for strip stock, flat cable, round wire, shaped wire, and rod moving in any direction. A handwheel adjusts both hardened steel guide rollers around the material centerline, while a set screw locks the selected roll spacing in place. Multiple mounting holes allow manufacturers to install each unit individually, combine several guides into a modular configuration, or pair them with a wire straightener for inlet and outlet control. Available in five models and three sizes, AR wire guides accommodate varied materials, equipment layouts, and production requirements. Standard units can replace comparable roller guides from other manufacturers, and Sjogren can develop custom wire guide roller configurations for specialized applications.

SDR | Static Dancer Roll

Bearing-Free Wire Guides for Reduced Maintenance and Downtime

The Sjogren SDR Static Dancer Roll replaces conventional dancer rollers and tuner rollers on wire drawing machines with a bearing-free wire guide system. Instead of rotating on ball bearings, the SDR guides wire across two tungsten carbide rods, avoiding maintenance problems caused by heat, wear, and drawing-lubricant contamination. Operators can rotate each rod 90 degrees when wear appears, creating four usable contact surfaces on each rod and extending its service life. Stackable aluminum bodies can be configured to match the wire line height, and SDR units can replace components in dancer rolls, roller boxes, traversing guides, and related systems. This static guide roller helps reduce wire scratching, component changeovers, maintenance demands, and unplanned downtime in wire drawing, mesh, spring wire, energy, construction, and industrial production.
