Assembly and Machine Operator
Role Summary:
Sjogren Industries is seeking a dependable, hands-on team member for a first-shift Assembly and Machine Operator role. This position is approximately 70 percent assembly and 30 percent entry-level machine operation support.
This is an active shop role with variety from day to day. The work changes based on production needs, so the right person will be comfortable moving between assembly, machine support, material handling, and general shop responsibilities. We are a small shop with a strong culture and are looking for someone who is ready to contribute, learn, and be part of the team.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00AM to 2:30PM, with 30-minute lunch break.
Job Type: Full-time, In Person
Pay: Negotiable based on Experience Level
About Sjogren:
Sjogren is a manufacturing business that produces high-end precision tooling and components for the wire and cable industry. Our primary product lines include wire straighteners, puller assemblies, and related equipment. We also do contract manufacturing for customers who need precision components made right and delivered reliably.
We sell B2B across a wide range of industries. If a company uses wire in their production and needs it straightened, pulled, handled, or processed consistently, there is a good chance we can help.
What You Will Do:
- Perform assembly work using purchased and machined parts to build finished products and subassemblies
- Work from blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and related documentation to complete assemblies accurately
- Use common hand tools, power tools, and shop tools safely and effectively
- Perform drilling, pinning, fastening, fitting, and related assembly tasks as required
- Inspect parts and completed work to help ensure quality and accuracy
- Support shipping and receiving activities, including staging, moving, packing, and handling materials as needed
- Make local trips in a company vehicle to transport company-owned product to outside shops for additional operations as required
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Assist in other shop duties as needed based on workload and priorities
Role Requirements:
- Assist with basic machine operation tasks under supervision and training
- Load and unload parts
- Perform deburring and simple secondary operations
- Follow work instructions and standard shop procedures
- Perform basic visual checks and simple part inspections
- Help keep work moving through the department efficiently
- Receive on-site training as responsibilities grow on the machine side of the role
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in manufacturing, assembly, machining support, or a similar shop environment preferred
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and shop documentation at a moderate level
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and parts
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and adapt to changing daily priorities
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license required
- Forklift experience is a plus, but not required
Physical & Work Environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive hand work throughout the day
- Comfort working in an active shop environment where tasks can vary and movement is part of the role
- This is not a sedentary bench job, and the daily work is intended to be varied and engaging
Training:
On-the-job training will be provided. The ideal candidate will bring the basic skills and aptitude needed to step in, learn quickly, and build confidence in how we do things at Sjogren.

Outbound Sales Representative
Role Summary:
Sjogren Industries is hiring an Outbound Sales Representative to help launch and scale a new outbound sales program and drive new orders. This is a great opportunity with a large amount of untapped market potential. Sjogren has a long track record and strong reputation, but we have not had a true outbound sales push. If you want to be the person who turns that into measurable growth, this role is for you.
This is a sales-only role focused on proactive outbound outreach that drives new orders. That includes winning new customers, expanding business with existing customers, and opening up new markets and regions. You will build your own target list and outbound approach, with support from the team on product knowledge and how we operate internally.

What You Will Do:
- Prospect and outreach to targeted accounts by phone, email, and other outbound channels
- Generate new customer engagement and drive opportunities to a request to quote
- Work with our inbound sales team who will handle quoting, order processing, and final closing steps
- Reengage existing customers to drive additional orders, including new products, locations, or reactivated relationships
- Maintain clear CRM discipline in our ERP/CRM system, Global Shop Solutions
How Success is Measured:
- Orders placed that originate from your efforts
- New customer orders
- New orders from existing customers that you drove through outreach and follow-up
Role Requirements:

- Strong writing and messaging skills for outbound outreach

- Comfortable using AI tools to improve research, targeting, outreach writing, and follow-up, while keeping quality and accuracy high
Compensation:
- Base salary of 60k
- Bonus up to 20k, paid quarterly, tied to performance
Travel:
Very minimal travel. This is an in-office role.
