The Sjogren belief that “simple ideas make better solutions” has been at the core of its innovative product designs since its inception. That process applies to the company’s line of pointers and rolls.
Regardless of the Power or Hand Pointer you are using, Sjogren can manufacture alternative OEM rolls with its complete in-house engineering and machining capabilities.
Our replacement pointer roll program will enable you to reduce work interruptions, lower replacement costs, reduce marking and other quality control concerns, and offer greater performance durability.
In addition to our replacement roll program, Sjogren manufactures its own Power and Hand Pointer units. Our Power Pointer is used to sufficiently reduce the wire diameter to allow the wire to pass through a drawing die. Once enough material has passed through the die, it can be gripped by a puller and then drawn around the block. This process is repeated using a series of dies until the desired size is achieved.
The Sjogren Power Pointer’s precision ground rollers and tooling ensure effective long-term pointing applications.
Sjogren’s Hand Pointer provides an even simpler solution to the wire-pointing process. It is operated by rotating the handle back and forth 90° while feeding the wire in and out of the appropriate-sized openings in the rolls. One to three grooved rolls are used to taper the wire until the point reaches the desired size and length.
The Hand Pointer offers flexible mounting options, there is no need for electricity, and the process can save time and money by eliminating hand grinding/filing methods.
Founded in 1927 by Oscar Sjogren, the company has long been an innovator in designing and manufacturing customized solutions for the wire tooling trades. Today, Sjogren Industries delivers high-quality machinery, tooling, and accessories to a worldwide customer base with distributors located in Europe, South America, Asia, and Mexico.
